Some new, Some old.

Welcome to another new descant player, who is rekindling her playing! It is always great to have new members, so it was good for us to consider what we played and how challenging the pieces might be. We played a mix, some older familiar ones, and some new as yet not practiced. Simple Gifts (Joseph Bracket 1797-1882) is a good piece. Each of the four parts have stretches where they are prominent, sometimes giving others several bars rest. This is great practice at coming in at the right point!! We will play a few Folk Tunes next time in addition to our current playlist.
