About

Llanrwst Recorder Players is not a class,. It is a group of people who have a range of musical abilities, who simply enjoy meeting to play pieces that are pitched at approximately grades 2-4. Members do however improve their playing through regular participation in the group! We do ask that if you join the group, that you try to attend as regularly as possible. That way you and the whole group flourishes!

If you do not have a music stand, or even a recorder at the moment, but are able to read music, and would like to play with us, we might be able to lend you these for a while until and if you want to buy your own. We have some tutor books if you are totally new to the recorder, and can put you in touch with a tutor, if need be. Please contact us for a chat, so that we can see how to help.

Should you wish to join us, you will not only need your recorder and music stand, but to be familiar with email and downloading and printing off music. All communication with members is done by email , and music is sent out as pdfs.

Have you thought of playing a larger recorder?

Occasionally we have a mini-workshop when a local tutor / musician/ arranger (Richard Warford ) comes to give us 2hrs of fascinating and stimulating playing time. The video below was taken during such an occasion, at St Grwst Church in Llanrwst.

If you would like to have further information, or would like to get involved you would be most welcome. (This can be done calling 07826 780547 or emailing recorderplayersllanrwst@gmail.com )
